Review of Firelight by Kristen Callihan

1st book in the 'Darkest London' series.
I had previously read Kristen Callihan's Game on books. And I loved those. So when I found myself craving for something new and unique, I picked this one up without an ounce of hesitation.
Regency romance with a touch of paranormal? Sign me up! This is my first ever book with the two genres blend together and I loved it. Its like having a pistachio and chocolate flavoured ice cream together!

Review of Kept From you by Nashoda Rose!

Kept From You is the 4th Book in Tear Asunder series.
This because is the story of Kite a.k.a Killian Kane of the foursome band Tear Asunder.
I have been waiting for this book since I finished Crisis's book. And after Nashoda Rose released a teaser chapter of Savvy and Killian, I've been sitting on pins and needles waiting for this one!

Review of The Wingman by Natasha Anders

The Wingman by Natasha Anders can be read as a standalone.

If you are familiar with the author you know that she has perfected the formula of writing stories filled with angst and sweet imperfect love!
I was super excited about this book! her last venture The Ruthless Proposition is one of my favourites, so I badly wanted to read this one.
And I also find novels not set in the UK or the US very interesting. The fact that this one is set in South Africa is a bonus!

Review of Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon!

22nd book in the Dark-Hunter series.
My favourite book of the series!!

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would like Styxx, never mind love. After reading Acheron I hated everyone of his family except Ryssa. I was curious as to how Ms. Kenyon will redeem Styxx, but there was absolutely no need to redeem him at all. Like everyone else I had judged him and shunned him. Here in this book he proved me wrong and made me fall in deep love with him. Now, my favourite between Acheron and Styxx is Styxx!!

The book can be read as a standalone. But I suggest you read Acheron at least first.

Review of Last Night With The Duke by Amelia Grey. Blog Tour Post 4!

1st Book in the The Rakes if St. James series.

Without further ado lets plunge.

Blog Tour - Q/A with Amelia Grey. Post 3

I do admit that this is the first book of Amelia Grey I have ever read. But I had her books for a very long time on my Goodreads TBR shelf. I'm fortunate for receiving an opportunity to review her new book and ask her a couple of questions. Here are her answers:

Excerpt - Blog Tour - Last Night With The Duke: Post 2

I promised you with an excerpt and here I am.
When I started reading this book, It took time for me to adjust to the righting style. To justifiably describe Amelia Grey's writing I can say it was extremely colorful. She kidnaps you from your couch and drops you dab center in the 19th century London. Her descriptions are vivid and so accurate that I felt her writing rather than just read.
Here's an exclusive glimpse for you guys!

Blog Tour - Last Night With The Duke: Post 1

If you have been following my posts, you know that I've been uber excited about the upcoming blog tour. And this is my inauguration post!!
I'll be posting the review, Q/A tomorrow!
Meanwhile I'll post an excerpt from the book which is the first book in a new series by Amelia Grey - Last Night With The Duke by tonight!
Let the tour begin!!

Cover Reveal! Stars Over Castle Hill by Samantha Young

Which of Samantha Young fans won't love Joss and Braden? It's virtually Impossible! Joss and Braden were the very first couple who made me love SY's writing. Joss's insecurities and Braden's masculinity creates a perfect concoction that is tastes like a best seller.

And now we have a novella of them! YAY! Can it be any more awesome?!

And here is the cover reveal of the Book!

Review of Dream Warrior by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

17th book in the Dark-Hunter series.
4th book in the Dream-Hunter series.

This book was about Cratus! That's right the Titan who helped to imprison Prometheus. I had to pick this book up!
After Stryker's book I really needed a reprieve. I mean, that was the first ever villainy love story I had read and I wanted a noble honor bound hero back!

From the prologue to the end letter the book kept me in a vise-like grip! I mean who doesn't want to read about Cratus? Come on people, Greek God here!
But it wasn't Cratus that kept me hooked, rather Jericho and Delphine. They were perfect together!

Chapter 2: My first ever Blog tour and My first ever crush!

Why is it that whenever I type something I feel like I can talk for hours, but tell me converse and I'll have thousand doubts in my head. It's like with my writing I don't mind touching millions of people, but speaking to a person is a skill. First there is always the hurdle of small talk. If you get caught up in that web, you'll never come out. You will be left talking about whether and well beings. If by chance you actually like this person you are speaking to, then forget about coherent speech. Damn I wish I could charm people. It would have been a really good quality. Oh well, at least keyboards thank me. They do consider me their best friend!

Excerpt of Deadmen Walking by Sherrilyn Kenyon

A Dark-Hunter spin off and that too in the 1700s.

I love the Dark-Hunter universe created by Sherrilyn Kenyon and she wants to tell about them in the 18th century? Hells Yeah people! I want that.

Now, without speaking much let's look at the cover and excerpt!

Review of I Dared A Duke by Anna Bennett

2nd Book in The Wayward Wallflowers series.

I was given an ARC of this book by the publishers to provide an honest review.
While I might admit I wasn't so enthusiastic to review a debut novel that too historical romance, I can safely say that it was one of the best decisions I made!

You know that feeling when you read a first book of a brand new series and can't freaking wait for the other books? I had the same feeling when I read My Brown-Eyed Earl. So, I was soo happy that I got an ARC for this book! And I didn't have to wait till April to find out Beth's story.

Chapter 1: Crazy Professors and not so crazy Friends.

Have you ever had a Professor in your college who is well respected, has a Dr attached to his name and the other students say he teaches really good? And then you keep thinking 'Dude, seriously?' Well, if you do, then you can probably relate.
I'm in the final semester of engineering, and as we all know ( if you don't just pretend) that we need to do a project. A tedious task if you ask me. Now before I invoke a curse of true engineers on myself let's just clear things first.
There are 3 kinds of Engineers in the India ( I'm assuming the whole India, just go along!)

Review of My Brown-Eyed Earl by Anna Bennett

1st book in The Wayward Wallflower series.

I was given a copy of 'I Dared The Duke' by Anna Bennett to review. And due to my self-torturing (only sometimes!) and self-imposed rule I do not read a book in a series out of order. Hence I had to pick up it's predecessor.

And, I'm really glad I did it! At first I was skeptical about picking this book up. Because not only is it a debut novel, but a historical debut. Put those two together and many a times I have found that combination go awry!
But Anna Bennett surprised me with this sweet as a candy, well written historical romance.

Excerpt of Twist by Kylie Scott..!!!!

YAY! Back to the Dive Bar!

Do you know how it feels that you have to wait for 4 months for the next books in the series?!? Do you?
It feels like every second is as day long.!
That's why I distract myself with other books..

Even now a month and a half to go..!!! ughh..!!

But, god bless Kylie, she has provided us with an excerpt. Granted it is not so long, but any kind of glimpse into joe's story is welcome..!!!

Lets look at the excerpt!!

Cover Reveal - Take Me Back by Meghan March

Yay!! A new book by Megan March. One of the few contemporary authors who's book I would pick up without any hesitation is Meghan March!
She writes books that are sassy, smart, cute, hot and has a depth to it.

I loved her Beneath series. Every book of that one are my favourite!! Especially Beneath these Lies. Valentine and Rix were awesome!

And here she comes again with a whole new story!!!

Yay Me..!!

Review of One Silent Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

15th book in the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon

This is the most awaited book, not. I mean who wants to read a book about a guy who has made the lives of all the other protagonists in the previous 14 book a living hell?
Certainly not moi! But, I curse myself for the day I thought 'Hey, wouldn't it be great if I never read books out of order?' To the next books in the series, due to my self imposed rule, I had to finish this one. And I really really wanted to read the other books in the series! Damn myself!!

But, like always, I should have trusted Sherrilyn Kenyon. This book wasn't as bad as I expected. It was actually rather different and provided me with a whole new perspective. Lets just say it was a bumpy ride I liked!

Review of Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon

The Most awaited book of the series.
Acheron has been the part of the series since the very first book i.e. Night Pleasures. He is introduced as the Head Honcho of the Dark Hunters. Actually I didn't pay much attention to him as I was engrossed with Kyrian. He appeared to be just a fun guy who helps Amanda out. That's all there is to him.
But, in Talon's book, we get a glimpse from his past. And we find out that he has a brother who is hell bent on vengeance. And Acheron himself appears guilty. It's then that we realize all was not right in his world.
Over the rest thirteen books we catch bits and pieces of him. Sometimes mentioned and sometimes he helps the people to find love. We find out about his powers and uniqueness. Alexion's book is when we finally get to know what Ash is. And that just intrigues us more in regards to him.

Review of Dream Chaser by Sherrilyn Kenyon

13th book in the Dark-Hunter Series
3rd book in the Dream-Hunter Series
1st book in my love list of the week!

I simply Loved this book! No better way to describe it. Loved Loved Loved it. Sorry if I'm sounding like broken record, but I loved it!
You don't have to read the entire 12 books before this to plunge into this one. This book can be read as a stand alone But, I do recommend you to read Devil May Cry (11th book in the Dark-Hunter series) before this one because that is where Xypher is introduced and a bit introductory is given about him.
It is not absolutely necessary, but do read that for better perception.

Review of The Cad and The Co-ed - Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway

Finally! Finally! Finally this book is live. It feels like I've been waiting for it for eternity!

The Cad and The Co-ed is the third book in the Rugby Series by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid. I just love when author's collaborate. They produce great work. To be unabashedly honest I haven't read any other book written by L.H Cosway other than this series and I have read only 3 books of Penny Reid. Yet, they do make one deadly pair when it comes to this pair.
From the title to the story lines this is definitely unique. And I love creative titles, so bonus points to the duo..!

Lets look at

Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Many of the Romance readers, especially those into Paranormal Romance are aware of this name. And if they aren't, they are seriously missing out..!!!

It's kind of funny how I came across Sherrilyn Kenyon to begin with. I'm a huge fan of The Mortal Instruments and I recently came across some news reports stating how Sherrilyn Kenyon was apparently suing Cassandra Clare for copying her ideas. I remember reading that City of bones had ideas taken from Night Pleasures i.e the first book in Dark Hunter series.

Bookshelves I would.....

Well, I was just browsing around and found some of these awesome, inspiring bookshelf designs that I would love to have in my home.
Since the blog is basically about books and lets just do a honorary post on bookshelves. I found some pretty interesting designs and would love to do many things to obtain it. Hence, the title.

1. Bookshelf I would turn a Gold digger for...

Any man who has this kind of scenery and book shelf, I could easily see myself tripping over for his attention. Come on people which hot blooded book addict wouldn't want to live in this place.
I don't see myself ever looking for a sugar daddy, but I would definitely at least forge a friendship with the man who owns this! (I don't know why I just presumed a man owns this !)

My First Post...!!!

Hey there no one,

Right now the number of page views I have is 50 and all are from me. It's like writing the first post to myself. Eerie, I know, but necessary. Someday I hope I'll have enough followers that they will be intrigued to find out what my first post was. If you are one of them, then love you for sharing the madness.

When I was in ninth grade I picked up my first ever Agatha Christie. Why Didn't They Ask Evans? I cam bashfully accept that I don't exactly remember what I read. Nonetheless the book opened a whole new world to me where there were no rules, regulations, stipulations. Where I can witness magic, love, the impossible, the paranormal, mystery, suspense, anything was possible here.
Like a kid's first time in an amusement park I was entranced. I was in love with reading and never wanted to get out.
But just like a kid's attention span I forgot about the experience pretty soon. Then insert three years, handful of novels, Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl (yeah, I read about these guys before Harry Potter. Impossible! I know!) and I'm a first year college student who's all but forgotten about what magic she'd experienced. But They don't joke around when they say books are the best companions.

The darkest moment of my life, when my future seemed so bleak that I had almost given up, these books lent me their hand and kept me afloat.
The only thing the preserved my sanity during this period of my life were the myriad of characters I read about. Their problems became mine, their story became mine, albeit a short period but they gave me a place outside the world I dwelled in for me to be safe.

And once a bond was forged it can never be rescinded. Now, I don't read because I need an escape, I read because I honestly don't how you can't..!!

So, after the heavy philosophy shit, all I have to say is I'm not a psycho and am cut a crazy person who reads a lot. And I instantly befriend anyone who reads as well. I can go as far as say a couple of my best friends are as close to me because we read..!!

I hope I can take forward the work I'm doing. Post reviews, keep reading, hopefully earn some money and become famous ( yeah yeah.. you know you want the same thing..!!)

And those of you who trespass who follow or my Greek spell of never finding a good book again will work like a charm..!(not kidding.... not!!)

Chao! Keep reading!
